One of the easiest pedal mods there is!!! - Clevohead - Sunday, March 15, 2015
I have the Thrustmaster T300GTE, I had recently upgraded from a G27. As most users have found the T300 standard pedals leave a little to be desired, especially after getting my G27 pedals back out of the box to try this adaptor, it really highlighted how week the T300 brake pedal is.
The BPA-TX-G27 was packaged securely and arrived to me in Australia 2-3 weeks from order. There are no instructions but if you need instructions for some thing this simple, you probably shouldn't be playing with Sim gear and computers.
Simple it is, just plug the BPA-TX-G27 into your Thrustmaster T300 (TX/T500 as well I believe) and then dust off your old faithful G27 pedals and plug into John's adaptor.
It worked straight up with no issues, I struggled to see any difference in steps of resolution between the pedals on the Thrustmaster control panel, all 3 pedals registered in the Thrustmaster control panel and all 3 pedals registered smoothly with actuation.
I did do some racing with it and felt a great familiarity going back to my trusty G27 pedals, I am currently working on getting them hard mount installed back in my rig as I am that impressed with the product.
Pros:
Dead easy to use
Great to keep as a back up tool with some G27s if you already have T3PA/T3PA-PROs etc...
Cost, minimal, you get to upcycle existing gear you have all for around $30, especially if you have a set of heavily modified G27 pedals.
Looks good, very simple, black and grey colours to help hide it in
